Children and Youth Resilience Summit: Celebrating and Empowering Community-led Innovations

The innovators showcase highlighted the 14 finalists from the HHS Children and Youth Resilience Challenge. The HHS Children and Youth Resilience Challenge - as part of the President’s Unity Agenda and Mental Health Strategy - is the first-ever federal prize challenge that funds community-led, culturally-responsive innovations that promote resilience and advance mental health and well-being among children and youth, from birth to age 24. All finalists provided brief TED Talk style presentations about their unique approach and impact. The showcase also included special remarks from HHS senior leadership.

A Spotlight Chat Featuring the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow (CoCoRaHS) Data Explorer

The Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow (CoCoRaHS) is a community-based network of volunteers working together to measure and map precipitation. The new CoCoRaHS Data Explorer is a user-friendly online tool that provides observers and other users easy access to the 69+ million daily precipitation reports collected by volunteers. The tool uses innovative visualization products that allow anyone to explore the data. NOAA’s Office of Education supported development of the tool through the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere at Colorado State University.

RADx Tech Fetal Monitoring Challenge

Informational Webinar

The National Institutes of Health launched the RADx Tech Fetal Monitoring Challenge to accelerate the development of diagnostic and monitoring technologies to reduce the risk of fetal morbidity and mortality and thus improve fetal and neonatal health outcomes.

During the webinar, the challenge team shared an overview of the Challenge, background on its impetus and helpful information on the submission process, such as eligibility and evaluation criteria.
